Air Lift Company has announced the acquisition of Universal Air Suspension (UAS), effective August 3, 2026. The acquisition brings together two established manufacturers in the air suspension industry and expands Air Lift’s engineering and product development capabilities across its load support and performance suspension businesses.
“There are many synergies between Universal Air and Air Lift across our traditional load support line and our performance lines,” said Krista DeJonge, CFO at Air Lift Company. “We are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead as we begin the integration of UAS into the Air Lift family.”
Based in San Bernardino, California, Universal Air Suspension has more than 30 years of experience developing air suspension products for the custom car, off-road, and performance vehicle markets. Its product lineup includes air springs, air management systems, tanks, valves, compressors, and custom-engineered suspension solutions.
As part of the acquisition, Universal Air Suspension President Zack Ratcliff will join Air Lift as Managing Director of Engineered Solutions. In his new role, Ratcliff will lead the development of Air Lift’s Engineered Solutions Division, focusing on custom design, engineering, and product development across Universal Air Suspension, Air Lift Performance, and Air Lift Suspension.
“We believe Zack’s expertise, vision, and entrepreneurial mindset will have a significant impact on shaping the future direction of our organization,” said John Aleva, President at Air Lift Company.
Air Lift said it has begun integrating Universal Air Suspension’s products, employees, and operations. Additional details regarding product offerings, dealer support, and organizational changes will be announced as the integration progresses.
